This area governs the manner in which assets are to be distributed upon the death of an individual. It may involve you making a Will which specifies who is to receive your property after you die. Alternately, it may involve determining whether you are entitled to benefit from or be in charge of the distribution
of someone’s property after they die. We understand that the concept of planning for your death or even dealing with the assets of a loved one after they have died is often tedious and overwhelming. It can often seem as if there are so many rules which govern this process and steps which must be taken to secure the desired result. At KCT Chambers our role is to ease this burden and guide our clients through this challenging time by:
- Drafting Wills;
- Advising on Legal Entitlements;
- Investigating the Assets and Debts of the Deceased;
- Applying for Grants of Probate and Letters of Administration;
- Applying for the Resealing of Grants;
- Supervising the Distribution of Assets;
- Preparing all necessary documents to transfer ownership of the property of the deceased; and
- Conducting Court Proceedings for Contentious Probate.
